May.  Kids have an opportunity to sign up for this offering at a discounted price during the registration process.

Can parents watch practices?

*YES.  We encourage parents to watch their kids.  In addition, any parents that want to assist with coaching (you do not need to be an expert to help with smaller groups).  To help with distractions, any parents with siblings of wrestlers may be asked to take their children out into the hallway.

What is the fundraising deposit?

The Prior Lake Wrestling Club is able to keep our registration cost very low by having the participants support our annual coupon book sale (Saturday, November 19th).  This is the one day out of the year where the wrestlers from the youth, middle and high school programs come together to participate in our event.  The fundraising check is shredded once the requirement is fulfilled.

What is the volunteer deposit?

The Prior Lake Youth Wrestling Club is operated 100% by volunteers.  To support our club, each family is required to volunteer 4 hours throughout the year.  The volunteer hours can be in one or more of the following areas:

       ●    Prior Lake Wrestling Tournament – this will be the weekend of December 10th and 11th and is the easiest way to fulfill your hours.  We have 91 positions to fill!!

●     Mat washing before practices

●     End of the season picnic

The volunteer check is shredded once the requirement is fulfilled.

What does my child need to wear for practices?

We recommend your wrestler wear wrestling shoes, socks, gym shorts and t-shirt.  Gym shoes (mostly worn inside) are acceptable as well.  Headgear is also highly recommended during live wrestling drills.  The PLWC will supply headgear as part of the equipment deposit.

When do matches/tournaments take place?

The club will post sign-up sheets for all up-in-coming individual and team tournaments schedules as they become available during practices.  Tournaments are typically on Saturdays and Sundays.
